The resolutions of a meeting of Roscommon Magistrates. The meeting was held just one week after the murder of Major Denis Mahon. 

Roscommon Workhouse Notice

A notice proclaiming that Roscommon Workhouse, with a capacity of 900 inhabitants, was full. The notice further states that no 'outdoor relief' will be given.

Strokestown Hunt

Strokestown Relief Committee to the Lord Lieutenant, 25 June 1846

A letter from Major Denis Mahon, chairman of the Strokestown Relief Committee, stating that £85.00 had been raised through private subscription for the relief of the poor of the discrict. It was hoped that the Relief Commission would match this amount.
